Business Development Representative

If you are a creative thinker, passionate about generating leads, and excited about the tech industry, then you might be our next Business Development Representative.

NexJ Systems is seeking a talented individual to support our sales and marketing initiatives and strengthen our brand awareness. Working directly with sales, marketing, and industry leads, you will act as the sales catalyst. You will be responsible for developing and executing targeted marketing campaigns. You will also follow-up on all marketing generated leads and prequalify them for the sales team.

An ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to grow their sales and marketing career in the enterprise software industry.       

Responsibilities:

  • Research accounts in within our target market to find key decision makers 
  • Plan and execute custom multiple-touch marketing campaigns to generate interest with target accounts
  • Work with marketing  and other areas of NexJ to understand, create and clearly communicate strategic messaging for personalized marketing campaigns
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products and target industries
  • Follow-up and qualify all marketing generated leads  
  • Perform outbound phone calls and emails to prospects to secure Director+ level meetings in the Financial Services industry 
  • Leverage NexJ’s leading CRM database to manage lead, prospecting and nurturing activities 
  • Leverage Eloqua, a marketing automation solution, to run marketing campaigns to generate leads

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience 
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in an inside sales or telemarketing role.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with cold calling and prospecting companies around the world
  • Confidence and ability to interface professionally with prospects, including C-level executives
  • An interest in enterprise software
  • A results oriented self-starter who will take the initiative to source and mine for new prospects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 

Nice to haves:

  • Working knowledge of CRM applications
  • Experience with Eloqua or other marketing automation solutions
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services and/or Insurance markets​
